Hello, Welcome to my e chalk page. My door is always open to meet parents and answer questions or concerns. Please stop by sometime and introduce yourself. This is my third year at Windsor Park I am thrilled to be here. This is a wonderful school and I am looking forward to an exciting year. I was born in Wilmington, Delaware and I have lived in England, New Jersey , Florida, Texas and the Philippines. I have been in Education for 25 years. Prior to coming to Windsor Park,I served as the Assistant Principal at Menger Elementary. I worked at Wynn Seale Academy for ten years teaching Art,Photography and I also coached Cross Country and Track. I enjoy triathlon sports, visiting museums and reading. I spend my free time with my friends, my husband and our dogs.
On Fabulous Fridays, students participate in activities designed to expose them to a wide variety of disciplines that extend the range of the academic curriculum. During these enrichment clusters, students are grouped in each grade level and/or across grade levels, according to interest. Students may choose topics in both academic and non academic areas in the hope that they will find lifelong interests. Topic offerings correspond with Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences (visual, kinesthetic, oral, written, etc.) insuring a wide range of topics. Students provide input for topics for the following year through surveys. These one hour 10 minute blocks last for six weeks.
If a Fab. Friday falls on a holiday, then it is moved to Thursday and it becomes ThrillingThursday.
